| International visitiors traveling to Ceuta need to book their flight-destination to Malaga airport. International flights usually connect to either Madrid or Barcelona from where national carriers connect to Malaga, nearly every hour. | ||
| From Malaga to Ceuta: fly | ||
| From Malaga airport, travellers can use an helicopter service to Ceuta. There are multiple daily flights to and from Ceuta. Reservation is a 'must'. See www.helisureste.com | ||
| From Malaga to Ceuta: sail | ||
| Travellers can also use the fast-ferry services that connect Algeciras to Ceuta. There are three companies operating ferry-services between Ceuta and Algeciras: Trasmediteranea, Buquebus and Euroferries. Ferries leave Algeciras for Ceuta on an hourly basis. The trip takes approximatively one hour, including embarking and desembarking. Only ocasionally the ferries do not sail due to bad weather. However, if you plan to use the ferry services during the winter period, it is good practise to check the shipping-forecast for the Gibraltar-Strait area. Tickets are 'pooled', meaning that with a ticket from any of the three operators, one can sail on any operator's ferries. Tickets can be bought in the Algeciras ferry-terminal prior to departure. Travellers have to be present at least 20 minutes before departure. | ||
