Logistics
Inbound
Both raw-materials and finished products are shipped in 40 ft containers, by sea- or road-transport.  Raw-materials are shipped to Algeciras from various locations in Europe, through the ports of Gdansk, Rostock and Hamburg, as well as from the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp, where consignments from other continents are stocked.  On arrival in Algeciras, the containers are stocked at a local container terminal in the port of Algeciras.
Local
When entering the production flow, the containers are shipped to Ceuta by truck and ferry. On arrival in Ceuta the containers are customs-cleared. The turnaround time is 24 hours.
Outbound
Finished products are shipped the same way to Algeciras, where they are customs-cleared and where they become free European goods.  The goods are than shipped by road or sea to their European destination. The typical transit time is 3 to 4 days.  Payment of VAT is delayed till arrival at destination. 
Documents
Each container travels to and from Ceuta with a series of documents ;
 
Shipments  from a third-country, without crossing an EU border inspection point :
 
- Commercial invoice
- Eur 1 certificate of origin
- Bill of lading
- Health Certificate (according to Commission Decision CE 97/115).
       
Shipments from a third-country through an EU border inspection point :
       
- Commercial-invoice
- Eur 1 certificate of origin
- Bill of lading
- ANNEX B document, issued by the veterinary of the border inspection point according to  Commission Decision CE 93/13 together with a copy of the original Health Certificate,  stamped at the inspection point.
       
Finished product after clearance in Algeciras to customers in EU :
       
- Express Bill of lading
- Commercial invoice
- Eur 1 Certificate of origin
